Halloran Farkas + Kittila LLP announced today that former Delaware Attorney General and Superior Court Judge M. Jane Brady has joined the firm from her private law practice as a litigation and corporate governance partner in its Delaware office.

Brady served as the first woman Attorney General of the State of Delaware, a post she held for three terms, and has litigated more than 100 jury trials and more than 40 appeals before the Delaware Supreme Court.  Following her service as Attorney General, Brady was appointed to serve on the Superior Court of the State of Delaware where she presided over a full docket of civil and criminal matters.

“Her deep understanding of the litigation and regulatory landscapes will be instrumental in helping our clients address the issues at the forefront of state and federal agendas,” says Ted Kittila, Managing Partner of HFK. “We are excited to welcome her to our team and know that her insights will make a tremendous impact.”

“I’ve known Ted for a long time. The cases HFK handles are intellectually challenging and impactful. The firm’s collaborative, close-knit environment is the ideal setting for me,” says Brady. “My background in public service and judicial experience as well as in private practice will help me deliver practical, high value counsel to our clients. I have a great deal of respect for the team, and I look forward to helping clients navigate their most critical business issues alongside my new colleagues.”

Brady’s accomplishments and leadership have earned her a national profile. In 2004, she chaired the Executive Working Group comprised of Attorneys General, District Attorneys, and United States Attorneys to discuss law enforcement and prosecution issues of mutual concern. She was also a founding member of the Republican Attorneys General Association and has served on American Bar Association committees regarding the preservation of biological evidence, the American jury system, and the prosecution function.

Brady currently serves as chair of A Better Delaware, a non-partisan public policy and political advocacy organization, where she writes on topics including education, healthcare, energy, and the economy.

Michael Halloran, one of the founding partners and head of HFK’s Corporate Group based in Jackson Hole, added: “Having Jane on our team amplifies our ability to offer clients strategic, seasoned guidance. Her skill in handling everything from case evaluation to trial preparation to corporate governance is invaluable, and her arrival strengthens our position as a leading firm for clients facing intricate regulatory, corporate and commercial matters.”
